Sounds Alive help
Our spelling programme at school is based on Sounds Alive.
These are the steps:
Say the word
Conduct the word into chunks
Use your 'Tool hand' to separate the word in to individual sounds
- remember to write your sound lines under the letters
Blend the word back together (say the word again slowly)
Sample the word 3 times to find the closest match in a dictionary
Confirm or deny how the word is spelt
eg birthday
CONDUCT: birth day
