Sounds Alive help

Our spelling programme at school is based on Sounds Alive.
These are the steps:
  1. Say the word
  2. Conduct the word into chunks
  3. Use your 'Tool hand' to separate the word in to individual sounds
    - remember to write your sound lines under the letters
  4. Blend the word back together (say the word again slowly)
  5. Sample the word 3 times to find the closest match in a dictionary
  6. Confirm or deny how the word is spelt

eg birthday
CONDUCT: birth day
TOOL: b ir th d ay
SAMPLE: birfday berthday birthday
